Glen Moribe, ChairmanGlen Moribe, Chairman

Glen Moribe has been a volunteer of Hawaiian Financial Federal Credit Union since 1997. He is a veteran of the telecommunications industry, having served in various Accounting and Engineering positions at GTE Hawaiian Tel for twenty years, as a Director of Finance at Sprint PCS & Sprint Hawaii for eight years. Glen retired in 2014 after serving as the Senior Manager of Assets & Project Accounting at Hawaiian Telcom for 9 years. Glen retired as the Controller of Aala Meat Market , Inc. in 2021. Glen is a member of the Finance & Budget Committee at Waialae Country Club, the Secretary of the Hawaiian Chinese Shar Pei Club, is a member of the Bishop’s Committee at Good Samaritan Episcopal Church and is a member of the Confrerie des Vignerons de Saint Vincent Macon wine society. Glen received his Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and a Master's of Business Administration from Chaminade University.


Calvin Choy, DirectorCalvin Choy, Vice Chairman

Calvin Choy has been a volunteer at Hawaiian Financial Federal Credit Union since 1984. After 39 1/2 years with Hawaiian Telcom and its predecessors Verizon Hawaii and GTE Hawaiian Tel, serving in a variety of management positions in engineering, construction and marketing organizations, Calvin elected to retire and embark on a new career as Business Development Manager for Henkels & McCoy, Inc. After spending nine years in that role, Calvin retired once again in the spring of 2017. Calvin received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Hawaii and his Masters of Business Administration from Central Michigan University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer, a Licensed General Engineering and Specialty Contractor, and belongs to several professional and technical associations.

Ken Miyasato, Board DirectorKen Miyasato, Treasurer

Ken has been serving as Finance Director & Business Manager for KCAA Preschools of Hawai'i since January 2024. From 2008 to 2023, he served in various leadership positions with the aio family of businesses including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Administration Officer, and HR Director. Ken has also been providing management consulting services to Hawaii businesses through his company Miyasato Business Advisors since 2009. From 1986 to 2008, Ken worked at Hawaiian Telcom and its predecessors Verizon Hawaii and GTE Hawaiian Tel, serving in a variety of management and executive positions in engineering, sales, and marketing. In 2018, Ken founded the Kahauiki Village Karate Association which instills discipline, self-esteem and community pride for the youth of Kahauiki Village (an affordable housing community operated by the Institute for Human Services). He is a proud graduate of James B. Castle High School in Kaneohe and earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Wanda Beppu, SecretaryWanda Beppu, Secretary

Wanda Beppu has been a volunteer of Hawaiian Financial Federal Credit Union since 1995. Wanda retired in 2022 from Project Management. She is currently doing volunteer work at senior care homes. Wanda previously worked at CCSI assisting key clients - HSG Judiciary IT Department, Kamehameha and Punahou Schools. Prior to CCSI, she worked at Verizon Hawaii where some of her duties were Verizon Hawaii Project Manager, GTE Hawaiian Tel Information Technology Services (ITS) Data Center Manager, GTE Hawaiian Tel Senior Systems Analyst, and GTE Hawaiian Tel Data Administrator. Some of Wanda’s activities include participating in Autism Hawaii, American Cancer Society, volunteering in American Heart Association and Special Olympics and she is an honorable member of the Nakano Hanafuda Sensei. In her spare time, she does Koike TaiChi which encourages wellness of body, mind, and soul. Wanda graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in Sociology and Business Administration.

Deborah Lau Okamura, Board DirectorDeborah Lau Okamura, Director

Deborah Lau Okamura has been a volunteer of Hawaiian Financial Federal Credit Union since 1986. Debbie retired from Verizon. Her past responsibilities included marketing, sales, product management, marketing communications, promotions, advertising and event planning. Debbie is currently involved with the Bishop Museum, Hawaiian Civic Club of Honolulu, Ka Lei Papahi o Kakuhihewa, Kamehameha Schools Alumni, 2100 Residence HOA, Waikiki Aquarium, Washington Place, and League of Women Voters Honolulu Education Fund. Debbie graduated from Kamehameha Schools and Creighton University with a Business Administration degree. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling with her husband, Brian.

Gerald Noda, DirectorGerald Noda, Director

Gerald Noda has been a volunteer with the Hawaiian Financial Federal Credit Union since 2010. He is currently Vice President of Communication Consulting Services, Inc. (CCSI), a local telecommunications service company specializing in telecom consulting, design, engineering, project management, and installation. Prior to joining CCSI, Gerald served for twenty-five years at Verizon Hawaii and GTE Hawaiian Tel in various management positions including General Manager - Infrastructure Provisioning, Director - Construction, and Manager - Access Design & Construction. He is currently on the Hawaiian Telcom Good Government Club Board.  He has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii, a Masters of Business Administration from Chaminade University, an Electronic System/Telecommunications Specialty Contractor License, and a BICSI Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD) Certification.

Gerry Sagucio, SecretaryGerry Sagucio, Director

Gerry Sagucio has been a volunteer with the Hawaiian Financial Federal Credit Union since 2019. He is currently a Senior Manager in the Planning & Engineering Department with Hawaiian Telcom, Inc., a local telecommunications service provider serving the State of Hawaii. Gerry has worked for thirty-three years at Hawaiian Telcom, Verizon Hawaii and GTE Hawaiian Tel in various management positions including Network Operations Senior Manager – Central Office & Transmission Field Operations, Senior Manager - Project Management of CPE Sales Support & Maintenance Contracts.  He has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii.
